Stage and Screen
QUEER DIARY is a night where queers share teen angst as well as joy, dreams, follies, and fabulousness.
A brave group of LGBTQIA+ folx are doing just that at QUEER DIARY - the night where queers share our teen angst (and joy, dreams, follies, and fabulousness).
They can't promise to reunite you with your first crush, but they do aim to reignite that rush of adrenaline you got when they first noticed you existed.
Join them in a cosy teenage dreamworld, where adult troubles melt like lemon-drops as they focus on what was obsessing us all those years (or even decades) ago.
In here the goths, the punks, the emos, the weird kids, the nerds, the glee-clubbers, and a few previously-closeted populars come together as grown-ups, to escape cis-het-normativity by sharing our younger selves' innermost secrets, and possibly the odd bit of cringey poetry.
Queer Diary is hosted by Beth Watson, and is raising money for Beth's own show (based on, you guessed it - a teenage diary) and for The Outside Project, the UK's first LGBTIQ+ Community Centre and Shelter.
(Queer Diary was originally inspired by Helen Black's night, 'Dear Diary')
